Decor8 is a small application that lets you customize your Windows 8 startup screen according to your preference. You can choose the background of the start screen (with the option of changing the wallpaper randomly), create your own color scheme and take advantage of many other possibilities. This is a huge development compared to the features offered by Windows 8, which contains only a few predefined backgrounds and colour schemes.

Adding a background with Decor8 is extremely easy. You can select one or more graphics and place them on wallpaper or even prepare a Windows 8 slide show. Various effects are also available, including scrolling, blurring, and even adding contrast to background images.

Decor8 automatically prepares a color scheme for each background image, but you can also customize each color according to your preference. Custom colour schemes can also be applied to the Charms Bar.
