Cura is an open program for preparing models for printing on 3D printers. The program was created thanks to the efforts of Ultimaker, a company that also produces printers. The program has been prepared primarily to generate files for Ultimaker printers, but you can also prepare files for Lulzbot, Printrbot printers, and universal for RepRap, MakerBot, Witbox and other printers with the help of predefined profiles.

The program can generate a file based on the supplied model. In the settings you can select the type of supports, print layer thickness, size and type of model stabilizing stands (raft, brim, skirt), fill, structure type and the like. The model can also be scaled, rotated and reflected about its axis.

The program can also automatically fix some errors, such as intersecting planes or unclosed polygons. On the preview you can view the print layers, auxiliary structures and place the model in the right place in the chamber. Before downloading the program, you must fill in a short questionnaire, but you may refuse to provide information.
