The Firefox ColorZilla extension for Firefox allows you to take a color sample from anywhere in your browser, edit the color quickly and use it in another program. The application offers a tool such as the Drip Meter that allows you to take a colour of any pixel in your browser and a zoom function that makes taking colour samples easier. An additional advantage of ColorZilla is the ability to quickly open the selected element in the DOM Inspector and measure the distance between two points in the browser window.

The colour palette offered by ColorZilla is similar to solutions used in programs such as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.
