Cobian Backup is a free program designed to synchronize and archive data on the entire hard disk or in a specific folder. A very interesting function of the application is the ability to create copies on FTP servers (data sending and downloading is supported). This allows you to recover data from anywhere in the world where the Internet is available, without the need to "clutter" your local disk.

However, Cobian Backup is not a typical data backup tool, as it only offers the ability to copy files and folders (with the ability to enable compression mode) to other paths/computers, creating backups as a result of the action. Compression can be performed using a number of available methods in the program offering strong encoding (RSA-Rijndael).
