Clementine is a multi-platform and very functional music player, which will read not only files from the disk, but also many sources from the Internet. With Clementine you can listen to web radio, Spotify and music from files stored on cloud drives. The program has a simple interface that allows you to browse your music library and detailed information about songs.
Clementine can support several playlists at the same time, including dynamic and "intelligent" playlists (generated based on given parameters, for example, "songs recorded after 2000"). Static lists can be read from files such as XSPF, M3U, PLS and ASX. Clementine also offers quick access to catalogues and online services such as SomaFM, Magnatune, Jamendo and support for Icecast, Spotify, Vk.com, Seafile and manually entered radio streams.
You can also read files from Google Drive, OneDrive, box and Dropbox. Clementine also allows you to quickly search for songs and playlists. The Preferences panel allows you to edit playback settings, keystroke shortcuts, notifications and general program behavior, including matching the equalizer to the genre of music played.
The title bar of the program can show the title of the track being listened to, and the progress of playback icon. The lyrics can now be downloaded from several dozen different websites, from lyrics.pl, through AZLyrics and Musixmatch, to bollywoodlyrics.com. From Last.fm you can download, in addition to basic information about the artist, the tags and the number of songs played, stored in your profile.
In addition, the program has the ability to count the number of listeners and omissions of each song from the collection, so that you can easily find your favorite songs. Clementine is based on the Amarok, known from KDE, but is independent of the libraries of this environment. The interface of the player was created in Qt.
