Clean Master is a free application used to clean Windows from unnecessary data and remnants of web browsing. Originally Cheetah Mobile created a program with the same name for the Android platform, now it is also available for PCs. The application is very easy to use, clearly competing with the very popular CCleaner.

After starting the Clean Master, the application scans the system for unnecessary data. The application informs about the amount of rubbish in the system basket, Windows catalogues, action logs and reports, as well as temporary and cached data. In addition, it enables cleaning dedicated applications from Microsoft, such as Metro store in Windows 8, or Windows Live Mail mail client.

The program also recognizes popular browsers (e.g. Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera), and other third party software: temporary data from protection packages, Adobe Flash Player tracking files, Skype and PDF readers.

The manufacturer boasts that its application recognizes more than 500 popular applications, which allows it to remove all unnecessary networks, as well as temporary data created while browsing the web. It is also possible to delete the history of visited websites, information about downloaded links, as well as the deletion of cookies. The program also has a system registry cleaning module, which deletes entries related to e.g.

incorrect file binding, non-existent components, incorrect dll libraries, missing entries in the start menu, or incorrect application paths. Thanks to it, we will also get rid of entries pointing to inoperative fonts and MIUI or hlp files, as well as deleted items from the context menu. This module takes an automatic copy of the registry before cleaning it, so you can restore deleted data to restore your system or applications to a usable state in case of problems.

The Clean Master settings allow you to start the scan after the system has been started, as well as periodically reminding the user of the necessary cleaning after a given time (from 1 day to 2 weeks) and after exceeding the set amount of garbage (from 100 MB to 1 GB). The program integrates with the context menu of the recycle bin, allowing for quick cleaning of the system. The application is available for free, unfortunately it does not have an interface in Polish.
