Catalyst Production Suite is a package of two tools for video production and post-production: Catalyst Prepeare, for camera ripping and pre-processing, and Catalyst Edit, for non-linear editing and special effects. Catalyst Production Suite provides a complete film preparation environment, from connecting the camera to the computer to rendering the film with subtitles.

You'll find great tools for managing content and sorting source clips, precise color correction of imported movies, and an intuitive editor that can be quickly mastered and expanded with professional plugins. Catalyst Prepare allows you to browse the material before copying it to disk, move it massively to a selected location and transcode it. The clips can be stored in catalogues (bins) and pre-arranged according to a scenario (storyboard), which will be synchronized with the program on other computers via a user account.

Immediately after import, colours can be improved, even on many materials at the same time. The library is immediately available on Catalyst Edit, where the actual work takes place. The tools in the program are grouped by task, and the basic and frequently used assembly tools are always at hand.

Importantly, you can edit the sound and picture together or separately, depending on the needs of the shot. Catalyst Edit can be expanded with plugins, the manufacturer provides almost 50 effects, or you can install your own OpenFX (OFX) format. For example, you'll find a plug-in for keying shots on greenscreen, precise colour control, mask creation, image stabilisation, manipulation of transitions and much more.

When applying effects, it is possible not only to decide about their parameters, but also about the order. Ready projects can be exported in FCPX formats and for Adobe Premiere, Avid or Vegas Pro programs. You can also render a ready-to-publish movie by fine-tuning the codec settings.

Catalyst programs support 4K content from multiple cameras as well as Sony Pro formats. They can work with HDR materials. Trial version of the package runs for 15 days.
