Caprine is a desktop tool for Facebook Messenger, which offers exactly the same features as the official application for sharing with members of the service founded by Mark Zuckerberg, but also contains a number of additional options. As you can easily guess, Caprine mainly allows you to send and receive messages, make video calls, share files (e.g. photos, videos, documents), add emotionals to your entries, and so on, and so on.
This does not mean, however, that the program imitates Facebook Messenger, because it has a few unique features. Caprine takes care of the safety of people using this tool. A special private mode allows you to disable tracking of user activity based on links provided during a call.
If you click on the link to an online bookstore, you won't have to fear that personalized book advertisements will appear on Facebook's homepage. Caprine users can modify the main theme to dark, change the font size, and use keyboard shortcuts to perform various operations faster (e.g. starting a new call, adding image files, deleting messages, or searching for selected content).
