BleachBit is a small, simple and open tool to effectively delete data and protect your privacy. It works under Linux and Windows and is extremely easy to use - we mark what we want to permanently remove and we can open the police door. BleachBit allows you to clear the data of more than 90 applications, including all browsers and mail clients.

Of course, it not only deletes files (or records from the program database), but it does so in a way that makes it impossible to restore them (including blurring the free space and any other remains). The tool is interesting in that it allows you to delete specific user data very effectively without the need to securely delete the entire drive. It also cleans RAM, swap files, system registry, cache, even shortcuts and thumbnails of files, and can change data in the SQLite3 database before deleting them to prevent their restoration.
