When license games were usually associated only with weak, fast-pushing games, Rocksteady Studios showed that it could be otherwise. The talented team gained the right to prepare a project with Batman himself in the lead role and probably did not suppose that Arkham Asylum would be the beginning of the whole popular series. As fans of comics and films with the Dark Knight, they did their homework in an exemplary way.

Captured again, the Joker is taken to the title plant for the most dangerous criminals, but everything turns out to be carded and this masked Bruce Wayne becomes the main prisoner in the facility. We are dealing with an action game with logical elements. Most of the time is spent here on melee battles with crops, playing detective during breaks.

The system of clashes is extensive and satisfactory. There was no shortage of various gadgets, needed by Batman in his dark trade, with a batarang and a line with a hook at the forefront. Detective mode, resembling X-rays of the environment, will often be useful when looking for a way forward, as well as planning strategies to eliminate a larger group of enemies.

After all, sometimes it is worth to lie down like a hunter, instead of hitting with a big bang. Demo version allows you to play the very beginning of the adventure, offering up to several dozen minutes of gameplay. It should make a good appetite for more.
