This is an overlay for Internet Explorer, offering several additional features. The main advantage of Avant Browser is the possibility of opening many websites at the same time as a bookmark (MDI - Multiple Document Interface). It is very convenient to block automatically pop-up windows (usually with advertisements, sometimes with unwanted ladies ;) - so called pop-ups.

If this option is on, when the window is blocked, the user is informed by an appropriate signal about the impacted sample, and in the bottom bar there is a counter informing about the number of blocked pop-up windows. Avant Browser also offers several other options unavailable in IE, such as: extended mouse button support (possibility of performing certain activities with high repeatability via mouse keys), the possibility of blocking loading graphics, animations, sound and ActiveX components (in the case of slow connections it may significantly accelerate page loading).

Additionally, the browser is integrated with Google search engine and has been equipped with more extensive privacy protection functions. Of course, the browser is equipped with all functions available in IE, there is a possibility to change skins. Avant Browser from version 11 offers, among others, the possibility of saving the settings of user profiles, favorites and RSS feeds online, thanks to which it is possible to use the same browser configuration from any other computer with the installed program.

The interface, favorite management and RSS reader appearance have also been redesigned. Moreover, the authors assure that they have fixed most of the bugs that were reported for version 10. After installation, it appears as a separate browser and Internet Explorer is still available in its standard form.
