AV Audio Editor is a small and free audio editor, used for basic processing of audio files in popular formats. Although it offers poor functionality, it is an ideal tool for beginners who are looking for a tool that is simple yet convenient to use. The program offers a graphical interface to which we could get used using previously any solution of this type.
After loading the audio file, the time axis shows the sound waves for both channels - right and left. The user is provided with a very poor set of simplest functions and editing tools. These include a built-in equalizer, an echo effect, a Surround sound simulation mechanism, and several others that allow you to manipulate the sound level of the entire sound material or only selected fragments of it.
There was also the function of splitting the audio file or cutting out the indicated parts of it. The Audio Editor makes up for its lack of AV functionality with a number of supported audio formats, including AAC, M4A, MP4, FLAC, MP3, APE, APL, MPC, OGA, OGG, SPX, TTA, WV and WMA.
