AltSearch is an add-on for OpenOffice and LibreOffice that replaces the default search and replacement dialog box. Plugin introduces search using regular expressions and different text properties. Plugin allows you to use extended regular expressions and allows you to replace texts consisting of several paragraphs, as well as blocks of text between two specified delimiters, which is very useful when editing CSV files and lists.

Plugin allows you to perform several searches and replacements in one iteration. You can use clipboard content as a replacement text. In addition, AltSearch can search for and replace bookmarks, notes, text boxes, footers, headers, hyperlinks, table fields, graphical descriptions and much more.

You can also find and replace paragraph, character, cross-reference and list styles, as well as other parameters. The extension is even able to find similarly formatted text fragments. It is also possible to search for and change characters based on the hexadecimal value in the character array in a document.

For each search, the number of occurrences in the document will be given and the search results can be saved as a separate file. Plugin allows you to work on several files, loaded in a queue.
