Zello is a small and very easy to use application, used for voice communication via the Internet. It allows you to talk with one or more contacts and is available for Windows computers, iPhone, BlackBerry and other devices running Windows Phone 8 and Android. Communication using Zello is a bit different than in the case of popular voice chat programs.
The communicator's principle of operation is similar to walkie-talkie. A user who wants to send an audio message to a selected contact clicks the equivalent button and speaks its content. When the button is released, a message recorded using the microphone is automatically sent.
Zello has features for defining availability status, browsing call history, notifying you when you send messages, creating private groups and inviting friends to join them. In addition, it is possible to define keystroke shortcuts to initiate message recording or voice activation. For business users, Zello works with Motorola, Intermec and Honeywell terminals, allows you to manage users, channels and settings using a browser, provides secure communication through advanced encryption, and remains free for groups of up to 5 users.
