The creators of the Blender program, who wanted to prove that their tool is perfect for preparing animations and released their own short Big Buck Bunny, have also created a companion game. Free project Yo Frankie! uses the same character and object models that were used in the free video distributed for free.
The project itself is a good 3D platform. The player moves here maybe a little bit of a diameter in appearance, but quite agile squirrel. The pet can run fast, jump high, glide for a moment in the air, as well as hit the tail or throw nuts at someone, if any.
Fun comes down to learning about colorful levels, avoiding enemies such as goats and climbing where only stage designers allow. The choice of level is made by approaching the selected board at the very beginning of the game. It takes some time to master flying, which is important when trying to reach farther located platforms.
Unfortunately, the squirrel cannot swim. In the water he goes to the bottom like a boulder. The title enjoys the eye of really high quality graphics and soundtracks, although some animations could be objectionable.
The game launch file is located in the yofrankie-win32 directory.
