Yawcam (short for Yet Another WebCAM) is an easy-to-use and feature-rich free webcam application. The application was created in Java language. The program is mainly used for video transmission (to a designated HTTP or FTP server), but it also allows you to drop photos from a webcam, create time-lapse films and includes a motion detection option for monitoring rooms.

Yawcam allows you to enter a password to protect the video stream from unauthorized users. A useful feature is the ability to prepare ads for the online community, as well as the ability to create a schedule of tasks to be performed.
