WinToFlash is a very interesting tool that allows you to create a self-starting (bootable) Windows installation media using any USB stick, external hard disk or memory card. The program offers 2 modes of operation for beginners and more advanced users respectively. The first one, Wizard mode, is based on a built-in wizard, which supports us at every stage of creating bootable media with the system.
From its level, among other things, we can easily point to an image or archive, as well as the medium that we want to use in the creation of our bootable flash drive. In this case, the configuration process has been reduced to a minimum. The second mode offered, Advanced mode, is directed rather to more experienced users.
After starting it, we can select the task that we would like to accomplish with this tool. In addition to the function of creating installation media for Windows systems, there are options for deleting media content, creating media with MS-DOS environment, or creating a USB stick with Windows XP/2003 recovery console or containing such components as AntiSMS and WinLocker. The next step is configuration of individual installation parameters (allowing for maximum automation of the system installation), MBR settings, checking hard disks and bootloader.
WinToFlash is equipped with full support for ISO, RAR, ARJ, ZIP, 7z, CAB and DMG media images. The tool allows you to format the media to the FAT16 or FAT32 file system, while supporting partition types such as CHS and LBA. There was also the function of checking the device for errors after the Windows installation data transfer operation.
