Windows Virtual PC is a free add-on to Windows 7 that allows you to easily run up to several virtual computers on a single workstation. This is a very useful solution when the user wants to test different types of configuration or carry out an event scenario, the implementation of which in a conventional way could be difficult to implement for various reasons. The program also allows you to run and work under the control of various operating systems, which is an invaluable help in choosing the right working environment.
Windows Virtual PC is the successor to Virtual PC 2007, designed exclusively for Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate versions, and allows you to use Windows XP Mode (available for download separately) to run non-Siódem-compatible applications on your virtual machine. New to the older Virtual PC 2007 is, among other things, the ability to connect USB devices to virtual machines and run programs installed virtually directly on the desktop of the host-system. Windows Virtual PC supports hardware virtualization, but it is not required to run the program - even with hardware support, however, it is not possible to run 64-bit virtual machines.
