Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 includes all patches that have been released since the release of the basic version of both systems, as well as a number of minor patches not yet published. For Windows 7, Service Pack 1 has virtually no features other than these patches. This is not the case with Windows Server 2008 R2.

Here, the RemoteFX function has been added, which significantly extends the graphics capabilities when working on a remote desktop, thanks to Direct3D acceleration among other things. The Dynamic Memory function has also appeared, thanks to which Hyper-V virtual machines can dynamically and more effectively manage their memory. You will need to install the Service Pack after you have installed the basic version of your system.

It is worth noting whether the system does not already have this version of the Service Package. It is possible that the installation of the system was carried out from a carrier already integrated with the Servie Pack.
