W8 Sidebar is a small and non-installation application for displaying a small bar of gadgets on the Windows desktop. Thanks to it, we will always have at hand information about the frequency of processor operation, RAM consumption, hard disk surface or the speed of transfer from and to the computer. In addition, the program has several interesting solutions to improve the operation of the system.
The tool is targeted at Windows 7 and 8/8.1 users. If the users of the former can use the toolbar offered by the manufacturer, the owners of Microsoft's latest operating environment do not have such a possibility anymore. It is mainly with the latter in mind that the W8 Sidebar application was created, which is an excellent alternative to the gadget bar from Windows 7 (and Vista) and has substitutes for the gadgets most commonly used by users from previous versions of the "windows".
The toolbar displayed by the application on the desktop combines several modules, which are responsible for displaying information about the basic components of the computer, as well as give access to a set of authorial tools useful for each computer user. These include disabling, restarting, hibernating and sleeping the device at a given time, options for scheduling tasks, cleaning the disk from unnecessary files or a built-in search engine. W8 Sidebar, despite its many advantages, is not an ideal solution.
Creators strictly impose the appearance and arrangement of individual elements on the bar, giving the user almost no possibility to personalize the bars displayed on the desktop.
