Thea for Fusion 360 is a plug-in for Autodesk Fusion 360's Thea renderer. The installer will add a plug-in for Fusion, as well as a stand-alone version with an interface that lets you prepare a scene for rendering, superimpose materials, and add light to scenes. Thea Renderer is a great rendering engine, generating photorealistic images and animations.
We have three rendering mechanisms at our disposal. TR1/TR2 treats rendering as a simulation and is ideal for simulating rubber and light scattering. Adaptive interpolation algorithms reproduce the image using perceptual mechanisms, making it seem more realistic.
You can also opt for mathematically correct light-ray propagation calculation and interactive rendering with your own Presto, using a CPU and GPU (preferably NVIDIA CUDA and at least CUDA 6.5, Compute Capability 2.0). Thea also has an extensive library of licensed materials, available only here and handles the materials exported by Fusion 360 well. After installing Thea Renderer for Fusion, you can quickly run Thea Studio and send it a model to render, modify the materials and design the environment.
The renderer's demo version allows you to test all of its capabilities, but it places a watermark on images and animations.
