Shock Remake System is another (after SS: Enhanced Edition) return to the classic from 1994 created by Looking Glass Technologies. The player observes the action from the first person, but the game cannot be pigeonholed as a simple shooter.

The game puts a lot of emphasis on RPG elements, this title will appeal especially to sci-fi fans. At the beginning we get to know the hacker who we will have to play. During an attempt to break into the servers of the TriOptimum corporation, we are captured and transported to a space station called the Citadel.

The commanding Edward Diego station gives us a proposal: a clean file in exchange for breaking the Citadel's security, which is supervised by an artificial intelligence called SHODAN. As a bonus, Diego offers the player a military class neural implant.

Diego doesn't give us this chance from the goodness of his heart - he has his own goal in it, which the player will quickly find out about. After completing the task, Diego keeps his word and sends us for the implantation procedure. Normally, after such an operation, the patient is kept in the state of pharmacological coma for half a year.

This time passes, the intro ends here and the player takes control of the character. There is chaos in the station, all robots have been reprogrammed and are hostile to the player. After the crew there were blood stains on the walls and the floor.

Less fortunate people from the station were turned into cyborgs or subjected to mutagenic agents. But that is not all. It turned out that Diego has a complex of God.

He plans to use the mining laser, which is part of the station, to destroy all the larger cities on Earth. So there is a hard task ahead of the player. The remake is encouraging, the graphics are at a decent level, and control is no longer a challenge, as it was in the original version.

Changes in the interface operation have gone in the right direction. It was also possible to preserve the gloomy atmosphere, in the original accompanying the player from the first moments. We also invite you to watch our gameplay from the game Notes to Demo version:
