SugarSync File Manager is a small and multiplatform SugarSync client application that allows you to synchronize and share data with other users over the Internet. The tool in combination with this service is an excellent alternative to the currently popular Dropbox. It significantly facilitates the transfer of data to external servers, the subsequent synchronization of data with any computer and sharing them with friends, and what is important, allows you to work with any folder on the disk, and the service itself does not have any limitations as to the size of the transmitted data.
SugarSync File Manager supports proxy servers and gives you the ability to define data transfer rates so that you don't interfere with other programs using your Internet connection. Data is transferred using the TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocol and stored in an encrypted form (using 128-bit AES algorithm). An important advantage of SugarSync File Manager is that it is easy to use.
The application is available for Windows and Mac OS operating systems, but you can also manage your account in the service from your smartphone with Android, mobile edition of Windows, Symbian, iPhone, iPad or BlackBerry device, and even Microsoft Outlook mail client. You can sync data with any computer that connects to your SugarSync account. From the SugarSync File Manager, we get access to several folders that are not found in competitive solutions.
The basic directory is the Magic Briefcase, where all transmitted data is stored and to be synchronized. Shared Folders contains two subfolders: Shared With Me and Owned By Me, where you will find lists of catalogues made available to us by others and those made available by us.
Mobile Photos is the location to which (if we allow it) photos taken with the phone with SugarSync application, Web Archive, to which backups of data and Deleted Files to store deleted files can be sent automatically.
