STANDARD Codecs for Windows 7/8/10 (formerly Win8codecs) is the basic set of audio/video filters and codecs for Windows 7/8/10, enabling playback of films in most formats (AVI, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, MKV, FLAC, AMR, FLV, OGG etc.). The package installer gives you the option to select components, as well as the automatic removal of codecs already installed in the system in order to avoid possible conflicts. STANDARD Codecs for Windows 7/8/10 does not include any audio/video player.

The package also does not introduce any kind of associations with popular multimedia file formats in the system. Video playback can be performed on any player that supports video file format.
