Splash is characterized by a nice to the eye and refined graphical interface and offering only the most important features when watching movies. The program supports most of the most popular file types (AVI, MKV, MOV, M2TS, MTS, M2T, MP4, MPG, TS), video decoders (H.264, MPEG-2, VC-1, DVIX-200XVID) and audio decoders (AC-3, AAC LC, HE-AAC, MPEG Layer I/II, Linear PCM, DTS) as well as subtitles - including internal MKV subtitles.

Splash supports multi-core processors, supports hardware acceleration for video playback, allows smooth conversion of 1080i to 1080p, and has EcoMode function, which allows to easily reduce power consumption in portable computers (according to the creator's assurances, this allows to extend the time of film playback by up to 40%). In addition, the program also offers the options of deinterlacing, subtitle synchronization, video formatting (4:3, 16:9, cinema) and audio standard (stereo, 5.1). PRO version has been enriched with the ability to create screenshots, organize video files in lists, additional sound modes (surround, 7.1, SPDIF_DIF_Directory) and an advanced power management mechanism.
