SMRecorder is an interesting and free program for capturing audio and video sequences from our computer, webcam or microphone. It can be successfully used to create training materials, presentations and video-tutorials. The program is very simple to use and, despite its small size, offers quite a lot of possibilities.

With its help, the user can record a video sequence of all or a selected part of the image, record any sounds from a computer or microphone, as well as capture the image and sound from a webcam. SMRecorder can also insert annotations in the saved image in the form of graphics, which can be used as additional instructions or comments to the recording. SMRecorder is available from the system tray after start-up.

Before starting recording, the application creates a new task for which the user defines individual settings. The program allows you to record sequences of any length, choose the level of video compression, the number of frames per second, synchronize the sound with the image, hide the mouse cursor in the recording, declare the quality of the recorded sound, number of channels and much more. Depending on the type of recording, the tool saves the effects of its work in different formats.

The image (including sound) from the computer screen is stored in an AVI file, the image from the webcam to WMV and the sound from the microphone to MP3.
