Sandboxie is a program used to protect your computer against potentially harmful effects of a selected application. The software creates a special "protective sphere" in which we can place many popular programs such as web browsers, mail clients, instant messengers or P2P programs - any changes made to the system by the monitored applications can be reversed. What's more, Sandboxie allows to impose numerous restrictions on access to networks, drivers, files and other resources on programs running in a protected space.

For less advanced users, a ready-made settings package with a default configuration for several popular applications may be a convenience.
