The RIOT (Radical Image Optimization Tool) is an interesting graphical image optimization tool that allows visual adjustment of compression parameters while keeping the output file size as small as possible. The program is dedicated to users (graphic designers, webmasters, but not only), who would like to reduce the size of image files stored on the disk without significantly reducing their quality. With its help we can control the compression level and the number of colors used, and all changes are displayed in real time preview.

The tool can work as a stand-alone application or extension for programs such as GIMP, IrfanView, XnView and others. Optimized images can be saved in JPEG, GIF or PNG formats.
