RawTherapee is one of the best, but not the fastest, applications for reading images recorded in the highest quality offered directly by the RAW camera. A file saved in this format is considered to be the digital equivalent of a negative and its conversion is a call because it contains data directly from the camera's photosensitive matrix. The most important features of RawTherapee include the ability to view thumbnails of graphics, process images in 16 bits, save files to JPEG (8 bit), PNG (8 or 16 bit) and TIFF (8 or 16 bit) formats, support for advanced ICC-based color editor and algorithms (EAHD and HPHD) for effective photo reconstruction.
