QuiteRSS is a light and fast RSS/Atom reader created in C++ language with the use of Qt library, enabling convenient monitoring of new content published on your favorite websites, blogs, etc. The application scans from time to time all RSS/Atom feeds added in the program and informs the user about new content published online on various websites. QuiteRSS allows you to filter and tag collected information, automatically check the content of feeds when you start, turn on/off graphics in notifications, and operate the program using hotkeys.

Information about new publications can be provided by means of a sound signal and/or pop-ups. QuiteRSS is equipped with a built-in web browser (based on the Webkit engine), allowing access to the news source without the need for additional software. The reader also allows you to import/export RSS feeds (OPML files) and support proxy servers.
