PostworkShop Basic is a free version of the image styling software available for Windows and Mac OS X. The way you work in PostworkShop is unique because it creates a queue of effects that are superimposed on the image. Queue control is similar to building a graph/tree.
Artistic filters, which can be used with this program, are of very good quality and thanks to the selection of the equivalent parameters it is possible to create a very natural image imitating watercolor, drawing with crayons, old photography, etc. The filters, which can be used with this program, are of very good quality and thanks to the selection of the equivalent of parameters it is possible to create a very natural image imitating watercolor, drawing with crayons, old photography, etc. There are more than 300 different filters.
Mixing them or applying them one by one allows you to create unique effects. The user interface is very intuitive. The program window is divided into two parts:
the left one contains tabs with layer editor, style editor and queuing files for editing; the right one contains a tab with project preview and style properties, style viewer and project viewer. Most of the work takes place on a card intended for editing styles.
The way the filters are presented is very intuitive - it resembles a graph and the order is clearly visible. Each style "field" renders a preview of the image after applying the filter and all previous ones. This approach allows us to work very quickly and, above all, to achieve the desired results quickly.
The program supports multiple raster formats (JPG, TIFF, PNG, BMP, GIF) and layers of PSD format (Adobe Photoshop). The downloaded program is a demo version, which can be activated with one of three types of licenses. The Basic license is free of charge and slightly limited (it contains only 50 built-in styles, there is no possibility to modify and save styles, the maximum edge size of the rendered image is 800 pixels).
A comparison of different types of licenses can be found on the program page.
