PluralEyes is a tool designed for quick synchronization of sound and video content recorded from several cameras at the same time. In the film industry, several methods are used to synchronize videos recorded from multiple sources at the same time. Among the most frequently used techniques we will find attempts to find the same frame on each clip or setting the graphic representation of the sound signal (audio waveform) in the same place.
Depending on the number of sources, such methods can often be very labour-intensive. PluralEyes makes the whole process painless. Before you start working with PluralEyes, simply drag the clips you want to synchronize to the time line in your preferred video postproduction software.
Then save the finished project to Final Cut Pro XML format and open the prepared file in PluralEyes. The entire synchronization process consists of clicking on the Sync button and re-importing the saved file into our video editing program. On the time line we will see all the clips arranged according to the time that a given shot took place.
PluralEyes is available for Final Cut Pro, Media Composer, Premiere Pro and Vegas Pro.
