PlayClaw is an application designed to create screenshots, record video and audio sequences from games running on the Windows platform. The tool works with games based on OpenGL, DirectX 8, 9, 10 or 11 libraries. Undoubtedly, the biggest advantages of PlayClaw include the ability to use the computational power of multiple processors to record video, and the image buffering function, thanks to which we do not lose frames during the creation of a high-resolution movie.
In addition, PlayClaw allows you to record sound from several sources at the same time. PlayClaw can also be used to measure gaming performance on a given hardware platform and to test PC performance. The optional parameters displayed in the image include the number of FPS, CPU temperature, GPU, final file statistics, etc.
Configuration of displaying individual options can be done from the main application window before starting the game. In addition, PlayClaw developers have extended the screenshot creation function with the ability to automatically save screenshots every specified number of seconds. Such a solution may turn out to be extremely useful for creating a gallery of photos from a given game.
