Pictomio is a very interesting application for viewing and cataloguing photos and videos. It is one of the few to use the possibilities offered by modern graphics cards. Hardware 3D acceleration has been used in the graphical interface (e.g.
three-dimensional and animated folder icons), but also, to a much greater extent, in the functions of viewing image resources and creating slideshows from them. Among the standard options in this type of software, Pictomio offers the ability to tag photos and selected objects on them, a histogram and the built-in mechanism of the EXIF editor. There was also an additive enabling geotagging.
It is called pictoGEO (installed automatically with the program), supports most digital cameras and allows you to import NMEA and GPX files. According to the manufacturer's recommendations, a graphics card that supports ShaderModel 2.0 and has at least 128 MB of memory is required to work with the program.
