Password Safe is an open source password manager that allows you to securely collect and store access data to a variety of social networking sites, discussion forums, servers and more. The program protects users' passwords using the Twofish algorithm (created by Schneier), and its security has been thoroughly checked by Counterpane Labs. Passwords can be stored either in a single database or in multiple databases designed for specific applications.
Of course, databases can be moved between systems, they are encrypted with a key generated from the main password (which is not stored anywhere in the program). After opening the database, the login-password pairs contained in it can be copied to the clipboard. You can also use the function of automatic filling in web forms.
For those who want to protect passwords with YubiKey hardware key has been made available. The Manager is available for free, under a free Artistic License 2.0. Windows users can download a stable version, Linux owners must use a beta version for now (which works without noticeable defects, however).
