Opera Neon is an innovative web browser based on the Chromium engine. It is characterized by a completely different approach to the way of browsing the Internet - the interface of the program does not resemble any other browser: it is modern and interesting, and at the same time rather minimalistic.
The creators emphasized the pleasure of browsing the content of the pages, not the multitude of additional functions. Already at start-up, the program reveals that it functions completely differently from competitive solutions. When you turn on the browser, a search engine embedded in the background of the system wallpaper appears on the screen - thanks to which the program gives the impression of being integrated with the system.
Also new are animated shortcuts to your favorite pages, which can be freely edited and are displayed below the mentioned search engine. When you open new pages, they open in the tabs, but these are not the typical bar at the top of the screen, but the large thumbnails on the right. Graphics is a cropped favicona or a screenshot of the page.
The order of elements is automatically selected based on the frequency of visits to the website, but it can also be edited manually. Therefore, links to pages can be dragged to the area of animated shortcuts. A nice addition to the program is the built-in tool for creating screenshots (fragments of pages, which are previously marked with a mouse).
The screenshots taken earlier can be quickly accessed using the bar on the left side of the screen.
