O&O FileDirect is a free tool for sharing files without the need to put them in the cloud. (e.g. via Dropbox or OneDrive).

With O&O FileDirect, you can share any number of files quickly and easily (or free of charge) by dragging and dropping them in the main program window. It is worth adding that we can specify how many times a given file can be downloaded by the recipient. The application is ideal for sharing confidential documents with other people (e.g.

within the company), as it reduces the risk that they fall into the wrong hands. O&O FileDirect is very easy to use. After selecting a file, the tool will allow you to generate a link, which will be sent to the addressee, specifying the expiry date of the link.

Importantly, the recipient does not need to install this tool to download the file. You only need to use Chrome, Firefox or Opera (Internet Explorer and Edge are not supported).
