ON1 Effects Free is a free version of the photo styling software, containing a huge collection of various effects, both imitating film and more abstract. The program is part of the ON1 Photo toolkit. ON1 Effects, as the name suggests, allows you to apply various effects to the prepared photo.

Subsequent modifications are applied in the form of a layer, so that the original image does not suffer. You can also reach for a brush or gradient and paint a mask for the selected effect. Prefabricated kits, supplied by the manufacturer, may (and shall) be used for this purpose or may be assembled for re-use by the manufacturer.

In the program you will find a collection of filters very well imitating classic film, colored and black-and-white. Subsequent modifications are superimposed on top of each other, like layers in Photoshop. You can change or switch off the above ones at any time.

The program can work independently or as a plug-in for Photoshop and Lightrooma. Ready photos can be exported in raster format or saved as PSD with layers for further editing.
