Nero WaveEditor is a free tool included in the Nero package that allows you to capture sound from an external source, as well as process audio tracks such as music files. With its help we can easily remove imperfections of any soundtrack, reduce noise, normalize volume and much, much more. The program works well not only in simple operations of sound editing, such as cutting out selected fragments or changing their volume level, but also offers a substantial set of interesting functions, which can be used when removing any imperfections from the soundtrack.
These include various effects, tools (e.g. stereo processor, equalizer or noise) and advanced algorithms to improve audio quality (bandwidth extrapolation, noise suppression or crackle removal). Editing in Nero WaveEditor is done in real time, which means that we can keep track of changes even before they are finally applied to the soundtrack.
An important advantage of the application is also saving editing history, which allows us to withdraw selected operations at any time. The functionality of the tool can be extended by means of VST and DirectX plug-ins.
