MSI Afterburner is a small tool that allows you to overclock and manage the performance of GPUs produced by MSI. The application was created on the basis of proven solutions known from the RivaTuner program. Despite its slightly misleading name, it can also handle graphics cards from other manufacturers than MSI.
It is characterized by small size and insignificant demand for system resources. Like most of these tools, when you run MSI Afterburner, it runs within the system tray without interfering with the work done by the user on the computer. The program can be started with Windows, automatically using one of the declared settings.
This is very important if we would like a once configured graphics card to work with the set parameters each time we start the computer. MSI Afterburner allows you to modify the voltage and frequency of the GPU, adjust the shaders clock, memory, and (if supported by the hardware) change the speed of the fans mounted on the graphics card. On the other hand, clear graphs allow you to track the impact of changes in the settings on the operation of the system, its temperature, etc.
This information can be displayed in the tray or, what is important, during advanced overclocking during the game. The program offers the possibility of configuring 5 profiles with settings, as well as their subsequent easy switching via hotkeys. In addition, it also allows you to create screenshots.
GeForce (8 series, 9 series, 2xx, 4xx series) and Radeon (HD 3000, 4000, 5000 series) are among the graphics cards supported by the program.
