Master Commander is a free (also for commercial use) file manager which is an excellent alternative to Total Commander software. The application, as in other programs of this type, has a two-panel arrangement of displaying files in the form of a list of files or a tree (as well as any combination of them), supports basic operations on files and folders (copying, moving, deleting, renaming), has a built-in FTP client, etc. The application is also equipped with a built-in FTP client.

In addition, the author enriched Master Commander with integrated archives support: ZIP, TAR, GZIP, TGZ, BZIP2, RAR (browsing, compression with external WinRAR compressor), 7ZIP (compression and decompression with 7-ZIP compressor) with the function of free browsing, copying and viewing the files. Master Commander also offers the option to encrypt and decrypt files using BASE64, DES, TripleDES, AES (128 and 256 bits) algorithms and a number of tools including folder synchronization, file sharing and merging, multiple name swapping, downloading files from the network, file code page conversion and much more.

Additionally, Master Commander allows you to place an electronic signature under the file as well as its subsequent verification.
