Luminance HDR, also known as Qtpfsgui, is a very easy to use, free software to create HDR images from a set of photos of the same scene with different exposure values. Luminance HDR shares part of the code with the multi-platform Hugin project. The set of photos will be automatically sorted according to the exposure value when uploaded to the program.
Of course, the program has the ability to automatically align photos with one of the two built-in methods. Before connecting images that cannot be undone, the user has a ghost removal tool at his disposal. (traces of moving objects) .
Combining images can be done using one of the six "profiles", which determine the algorithms used to analyze the images. If you are not satisfied with any of the proposed profiles, you can choose your own settings, but this is not recommended. A complex image can be mapped using one of the eight built-in methods.
Each set of parameters is superimposed on a new instance of HDR image, so that the user does not lose the previously used settings and at any time can compare the effects of their work with previous attempts. You can use JPG, TIFF or RAW images from your camera to assemble the image. HDR images can be saved in TIFF or dedicated Radiance RGBE and OpenEXR formats.
