LMMS (Linux MultiMedia Studio) is a multi-platform software for advanced music processing and creation of various sounds on a computer. The application is distributed under a GPL license and is a worthy alternative to commercial FL Studio programs. Using the application, we can not only create new sounds and music, but also mix existing songs.

After the first start of the program it is necessary to configure individual settings related to sound - set appropriate recording tracks, turn on/off additional devices (MIDI controller) and adjust the level of the internal buffer. LMMS allows you to mix and create sounds using devices connected to a computer with MIDI interface, and is characterized by rich functionality and refined user interface. In the main window you will find a built-in mixer, a music composer editor, tools for editing drum loops and bass loops and other options necessary to create and mix various types of sounds.

With the program we also receive several hundred samples and presets, which we can use to create new sound or music. In addition, it is equipped with additional plug-ins to assist in composing songs and a useful function to import projects saved in MIDI or FLP format.
