The K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of VFW/ACM codecs, DirectShow filters and several other tools to play multiple audio and video file formats. It consists of codecs, which can be used to play a number of the most popular formats. K-Lite Mega Codec Pack was created as a Full version extension mainly for advanced users and video creators.

Compared to the basic edition, it has been extended by Real Alternative set and additional VFW/ACM codecs and DirectShow filters.
