Kantaris is an interesting media player based on the code of Videolan client (VLC) and Bass audio libraries. The program can easily read (without installing additional codecs) such formats as: AVI, MPEG, MPEG, MPEG-AVC, WMV, MOV, MKV, QuickTime, Matroska, Divx, Xvid, H264, MP3, WMA, OGG, MIDI, AC3, AAC, MP4, FLAC and much more.

Kantaris offers functions such as URL playback, subtitling, creating playlists, changing the proportions of the video in real time, selecting audio tracks, etc. An interesting and quite unusual option offered by the application is the Movie Trailers tab, where you can find and watch announcements (trailers) of upcoming film hits. In addition, Kantaris is very good at playing back materials available on DVDs.
