Jnes is a NES emulator (Nintendo Entertainment System) for Windows and Android operating systems. Therefore, it can be used both on a desktop computer, laptop and mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets. The program emulates both graphics and sounds in started productions, offering the possibility of playing alone or with other players in multiplayer mode.
In the case of Android 4.0 or later it is necessary to turn on Bluetooth, while on the PC the emulator uses the Kailler tool. Jnes is compatible with games stored in PAL (Europe) and NTSC (USA, Japan) systems. Jnes provides fast emulation with OpenGL hardware acceleration, advanced image scaling with pixel shading, stereo sound, fast scrolling (2x), and supports compressed ZIP and NES files.
Players will appreciate that the program allows you to save your progress at any time and synchronize it via Dropbox. The mobile version of the Jnes emulator includes a user interface designed for the above mentioned tablets, smartphones and other mobile devices. It is also possible to use the easy-to-play codes on the popular Game Genie website, courtesy of Gent.
There is also a Pro-Action-Replay database in the program. Jnes can easily handle MOGA Pro, MOGA Hero and pocket gamepads. It is worth mentioning that the application does not support control devices connected to USB in the Android 4.4 system (KitKat).
Interestingly, it is also possible to use touch screens on mobile devices.
