Ignition is a free and quite specific tool that allows you to optimize the size of the data you are preparing to burn to CD/DVD, but not only. The program is equipped with a mechanism whose task is to optimize the distribution of data recorded on optical media. According to the creators' assurances, it allows to "pack" files up to 10 MB in size on the disc, which go beyond the capacity defined by the manufacturer.
In addition to the space-saving function for standard data, Ignition also allows you to optimize unused time in the Audio-CD compilation. Due to the offered option of defining own size of data carriers, the tool can also be successfully used to optimize files that we would like to store, e.g. on memory cards or pendrives.
Ignition-optimized files can be stored on a supported optical media. Unfortunately, the tool itself is not equipped with CD/DVD burning functions and uses external software called CopyToDVD for this purpose. Optionally, it is also possible to create an image of the disc, which we will then burn to the disc with the use of any other program.
Ignition offers full support for the Unicode encoding system.
