Gimp Paint Studio is a set of brushes and saved tool settings for painters, illustrators and illustrators to use with GIMP. With Gimp Paint Studio, users who create illustrations, paint or sketch with GIMP will certainly be satisfied. All components are prepared to resemble traditional drawing tools and allow to reproduce the traditional drawing faithfully.
The collection of brushes includes classic tools (graphites, pencils, BIC pens, brushes, spatula, oil pastels) and brushes supporting drawing of some types of objects (dust, rocks and mountains, string texture, leaves, "dirty spot", clouds, light beam, glow, fur and hair, smoke, fire). In addition, the package contains sets of settings for the eraser, smear, airbrush and nib. The palettes and gradients included in the package are designed to make it easier to draw popular textures such as leather, eyes, plants, metals and so on.
Brushes are available completely free of charge. To add them to Gimp resources, you need to copy the contents of the downloaded archive to a folder with GIMP settings, for example, C:
Documents and Settings identifications[username]∆NAME.gimp-2.6 in Windows XP, C:∆NAME.gimp-2.6 in Windows Vista and 7. Full installation instructions, also in video form for some of the supported systems, can be found on the project wiki.
In search of inspiration it is worth going to the website of one of the creators of Gimp Paint Studio, Ramon Miranda, and watch on the project's website the instructional videos created by him.
