Fling is a small application that allows you to search the Internet for any previously marked texts using a keyboard shortcut. You have the ability to add your own list of search engines to use your favorite services. By default, the application has a dozen or so search engines, which can be used immediately.

You should start the operation by defining your own combination of keys on the keyboard, which will start the program. This is the most convenient way to use it. So just use the Customize Fling Shortcut option, which you will find in the menu icons on the taskbar after starting the application.

From here you can theoretically get to the configuration (text file with very accessible syntax), but it will be more sensible to close the program first, and only then manually get to the settings file from the system explorer, because the text file needs to be edited with administrator privileges. The everyday use of text is based on selecting text anywhere on the computer, for example in a document in Word, Internet browser, Explorer, and then pressing the previously selected combination on the keyboard. You will see a menu where you need to select the search engine you want to use.

As soon as we do this, the phrase we selected earlier will be searched for in a given search engine, which will be launched in the default Internet browser.
