FileZilla Server is a free FTP server that is distributed open source. It supports FTP, SFTP and FTPS (SSL/TLS) communication protocols, allowing secure online data transfer between computers. The software allows you to run a simple FTP server on your computer, through which other users will be able to download shared data online, as well as send us their own files.

FileZilla Server is equipped with functions with which we can monitor connections established with the server, transfer data, and manage users, user groups and shared folders. The tool has options to limit the transfer rate, give different data access rights (reading, writing, deleting, copying, etc.) and filter IP addresses that can establish a connection to our FTP server. FileZilla Server offers possibilities that should satisfy even more demanding customers.

It offers functions that allow to define the rules of using the server in a convenient way for individual users, as well as whole groups of users. In addition, it is equipped with a "on-the-fly" data compression mechanism, which can contribute to improving the transfer rate.
